Follow our blog this month as our Play@Home Mom makes holiday shopping easy by featuring toys for every child’s personality!

Sew Fun is a super sweet sewing machine that makes the perfect gift for a special someone with style.  It may even jump-start a career as a fashion designer!

I haven’t used a sewing machine before, so I was excited to try this one out myself! I was happy to see that the sewing machine is all set up and ready to go.

The kit comes with 2 yards of colorful fabric, ribbons, thread, scissors, and other sewing notions.  All the components fit neatly into the adorable suitcase –which makes it easy to take anywhere!

The sewing machine comes with an AC adaptor or can be used with batteries.  It features adjustable stitch lengths, 2 speeds, safety presser foot and a foot pedal.

We invited our stylish friend, Kayla, to come try it out.   I was so impressed that Kayla quickly knew how to operate the machine and began to sew up a storm! She followed the illustrated instructions — she folded, pinned, sewed, attached handles, decorated with buttons and in no time made a purse.  Amazing!

After seeing how easy using a sewing machine can be, I think I know what I want Santa to bring me for Hanukkah…

Have you used a sewing machine?  What would you make with the ALEX Sew Fun kit?

Why I love this gift:

Perfect Size –this real sewing machine is just the right size for beginners and young sewers.  It is easy to set up and easy to store.

Everything You Need – the kit includes pre-cut materials and instructions to make 2 different items – the purse and a wrap-around skirt, easy projects to become comfortable with the machine.  Use it again to create your own designs!
